WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Donald Trump held a conference call Wednesday with the heads of three large Wall Street banks as financial markets were in turmoil, one source with direct knowledge said on Friday.

Following a previously scheduled meeting at the Treasury Department, JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s Jamie Dimon, Bank of America Corp.’s Brian Moynihan and Citigroup Inc.’s Michael Corbat discussed the economy and financial markets with Trump, who was at his resort in Bedminster, New Jersey. The conversation came on a day that saw all three major U.S. indexes close down roughly 3 percent amid ongoing concerns about the global economy.
